London, lets talk about brunch…

Hi my name is Madison Cass and I am a brunchaholic.

brunch

I would go as far as saying this is my absolute favourite meal of the day. It’s not just the food but the atmosphere, the chatter and the variety of choice. We have become a nation that “brunches” and I bloody love it.  I couldn’t possibly list all of my favourite brunch spots in London, so instead i am going to give you my July favorites…enjoy!

1. The Golborne Deli

I have recently become a bit of  a resident at the the Golborne Deli, situated on Golborne road which is a stones throw away from Portobello market.

There is something very welcoming about this ‘bistro’ for the Notting Hill area as there is nothing pretentious about this place, it is all about the food. For me,  it has become a bit of a post-workout place where I will turn up as red as a tomato in gym gear (and not the fancy-pancy Lululemon active wear)  I am talking about that fresh out of a work-out look, and I never feel out of place.

This bistro is all about it’s food from amazing salads to every breakfast menu item under the sun, it would be hard to find something you didn’t love! As a bonus the entire menu is gluten-free…

2. Parlour, Kensal Green

Now this is a very special place, and whilst it is one of my locals, I would highly advise travelling to Parlour in Kensal Green to experience their extraordinary food. My sister held an engagement brunch here and my boyfriend recently celebrated a birthday brunch in this amazing restaurant.

It is the perfect setting for both groups and also more intimate occasions. If you are going as a group i would highly advise the sharing brunch, just make sure you don’t wear anything too tight!

The food is incredible and the menu is extensive, I have a personal weakness for the backdoor smoked salmon and the unlimited bread station! The atmosphere is  cosy-industrial with a gastro-pub kinda touch. It is a warm and welcoming setting where time disappears as the bubbly flows.

3. Greenberry Cafe, Primrose Hill

I love Primrose hill, it exudes coolness whether you are part of the “it” crowd or not, this is place to feel like you are in the know. For brunch i would recommend Greenberry Cafe which is situated at the bottom of the high-street. The food is great and the prices are reasonable but the real sellers of this place are that you can book in advance and also that you can bring dogs inside. Double winner right there!

4. 202, Westbourne Grove

This elegant cafe is situated on one of the prettiest streets in London and has Notting Hill written all over it. 202 brings fashion and modern eating together in a casual yet stylish setting. The menu has a bit of everything and the food is always delicious. If you are lucky grab a seat outside and watch the whose who of Notting Hill go past…
